It’s not a secret that DJI Tello is famous for holding the position. What is more, its image stabilization when taking photos and videos is pretty cool. The infrared sensor, mounted in the bottom of the case, helps to control the position of the drone.
This technology works fine only at a low height. Therefore, the stabilization is not guaranteed during the high flight over 30 meters.
In the wind Tello tries to keep its position, but strong gusts can impede its stabilization. That happens because engines can not withstand a strong wind all the time. Below are videos from YouTube about testing Tello in a strong wind:
